چکیده
The Regional Superfund Ground Water Forum is a group of EPA professionals, representing EPA's Regional Superfund Offices, committed to the identification and the resolution of ground water issues impacting the remediation of Superfund sites. The Forum is supported by and advises the Superfund Technical Support Project. Remediation of trichloroethylenecontaminated soils and ground waters is an issue identified by the Forum as a concern of Superfund decision-makers. For further information contact Hugh H. Introduction Ground water constituents in tree trunks have been examined for a variety of applications. Inorganic constituents in tree cores have been examined as an aid to investigating solvent dechlorination (Yanosky et al. 2001) and as a tool for examining the history of ground water contamination (Vroblesky and Yanosky 1990; Yanosky and Vroblesky 1992, 1995; Vroblesky et al. 1992). Background: Estrogens include estoril (E3), estradiol and estrone (E1). These chemicals are produced in human and animal bodies as well as in synthetic chemicals (drugs). Estrogens can enter water sources in different ways. When these chemicals enter the human body through water and wastewater, they have the ability to mimic or disrupt the normal estrogen activities in humans and animals. Estro...
